The following policies are to more fully comply with State and CDC recommendations. In order to limit the exposure of the Citizens of Ardmore all City Facilities are closed to foot traffic. These include City Hall, Public Library and the HFV Wilson Center as well as others. We will remain fully staffed so that municipal services can be delivered by phone service if possible.
There is no change in Emergency Services. If something can be handled by phone the 1st Responder will let you know.
Sanitation services will continue as scheduled.
Municipal Court is cancelled.
City Commission Meetings will still happen but will be limited to those who have direct business on the agenda. They will be broadcast on channel 56.
There will be a hiring freeze but online applications will still be accepted and processed.
In regards to Utility Payments: The City has suspended disconnects of utility service for non-payment of utility bills. The balance will continue to accrue and you will be required to make arrangements for payment once this policy is lifted. You are still required to pay your utility bills. The City encourages payment of utilities using our online system:
You may also drop off your payment using the payment drop located at the NW corner of City Hall.
For New Utility Service you will need to call 580-223-0784 or email/text firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange and provide information required. Once your account is set up you will put your payment in payment drop locate at the NW corner of City Hall.
The Ardmore Public Library is still providing limited service. Patrons can still place and pick up items on hold. Requests can be made via our website www.ardmorelibrary.org, by telephone 580-223-8290, or by email email@example.com. When your item becomes available staff will bring it to you in a sealed bag on a cart at the library entrance at your arranged pickup time. Library items that are already checked out can be renewed on our website or by phone, and can be returned at our drive-through book drop at the east end of the building. You may use your library card to access downloadable eBooks and eAudiobooks via the website listed above.
We would rather be berated for an overabundance of caution then being party to a tragedy. Thank you for your understanding and being a Citizen of Ardmore. It is at this time the world will see why we call this place home.
