City Clerk

The City Clerk is appointed by the City Manager with the approval of the City Commission for an indefinite time.  The City Clerk also serves as the Finance Director.  The City Clerk's responsibilities include: 

  • Supervises the Finance Department which includes the Purchasing Department and Utility Billing
  • Official records keeper of the entire City and keeper of the City seal
  • Resides over all City Commission meetings and has the responsibility of ensuring compliance with the Oklahoma Open Meetings Act and the Oklahoma Open Records Act along with all City codes and ordinances
  • Handles all Open Records requests
  • Prepares and publishes the annual budget
  • Serves as the secretary to the Ardmore Public Works Authority
