Swim Lesson Levels:
Parent/Child- This class is a basic introduction to pools and water. This class is designed to make the child feel comfortable in water and introduce simple principles for future development.
Preschool (Ages 3 years-5 years)- Orients preschool-age children to aquatic environment and to help them acquire rudimentary levels of basic aquatic skills. Participants start at 3 years of age and must be 100% toilet trained.
Level 1 Introduction to Water Skill- Begin developing positive attitudes, good swimming habits, and safe practices in and around the water. Participants start at about 6 years of age.
Level 2 Fundamental Aquatic Skills- Gives participants success with fundamental skills, including learning how to float without support and to recover to a vertical position.
Level 3 Stroke Development- Builds on the skills in Level 2 by providing additional guided practice.
Level 4 Stroke Improvement- Develops participants’ confidence in the strokes learned in Level 3 and to improve other aquatic skills.
Level 5 Stroke Refinement- Further learns how to coordinate and refine strokes.
Level 6 Swimming and Skill Proficiency- Refines strokes so participants swim with more ease, efficiency, power and smoothness and over greater distances. Also introduces and practices fundamental springboard diving skills
