About Us

Ardmore Literacy Council was established in 1984 to help adults learn how to read using a one-on-one tutor-learner approach.

Their work is continued today by the New Dimension Literacy Council, which was established in 2008, and which works with people of all ages with both literacy and life skills and focuses on group activities.

Literacy Boost
Literacy in Ardmore and Carter County is soon to get a big boost! Funded by a grant from Dollar General, The New Dimension Literacy Council and other community organizations are partnering to bring more funding, technology, teaching tools, tutors and other resources into the community.

NDLC has a facility devoted to literacy learning on the grounds of the Ardmore Public Library:
320 E. St. NW
Ardmore, OK 73401
Ardmore Public Library
The building may be known by some in the community as the site of annual library book sales in previous years. Now it is a place where tutors and learners can meet, materials can be kept, and literacy activities can be coordinated.
